Gatka is a traditional combat-training system developed by Sikhs, which should more properly be called shastra vidiyā or "science of weapons".

Sikh is very famous for its big turban on the top of their head. They were suppressed during under control of Mugal empire, then the protest against the Mugal rule, they eagerly trained themselves with Gatka.

Even today, they keep such ethos with strong religious belief, especially among the samurai clan called Nihang.

Gatka school or Dojo is settled around Amritsar Punjab where the most sacred Golden temple is located, and Anandpur Sahib.
